Description:  This was a site-specific installation at Eastern Front Gallery in Toronto. Adrienne Spier had provided Eastern Front with a service – she has taken their unwanted sofa that is housed in a small storage room in the basement and transformed it into a storage and retrieval place for domestic furniture – all that would be essential in furnishing a small apartment. Furniture and a photograph work together to optimize the use of space, unfortunately it is so efficiently organized that it has become useless.  The photograph is of the room set up as if all the stored furniture were in use.
