Folding Drawers, 2003
Wood, hardware, wheels. Height 120”, dimensions variable

Description: A series of found drawers were attached to one another with hinges and screwed to a cart.  The top drawer was fastened, via a cable and pulley, to a handle on the other side of the wall.  When the handle was pulled the stack would rise towards the ceiling.  The viewer could only hear and feel the results of their pulling action, but not see the stack lower and rise, unless they were aided by another person.
